C21C Appeal – Church for the 21 st Century

Chesham Methodist Church has embarked on a major fund-raising effort, as we urgently need to update our facilities and premises and make them fit for purpose for a twenty-first century church.

· The AV system takes hours to set up and take down. We're reliant on the goodwill of a few experts to allow us to use it at all. We need a permanent system that is simple to operate.

· We're having more events that involve catering, but our kitchen is twenty-five years old.

· Other areas of the church are showing their age, including the steps at the fire exit and the car park walls.

To address these and other issues we need to raise £37,500. There are many possible sources of grants, but we shall need to do some fund-raising as well.

With generous support from individual church members and from circuit, and three or four events under our belt, we've reached the magnificent total so far of £17,000 – approaching half of the total. There is still a long way to go though: please support us by:
